Unarmed killers

* As a racial minority, I am pleading for fairness and not for so-called 'justice' (or revenge).

* There are definitely cases where the police do use excessive force, against both white and black men.  It is not clear, much less proven, in my mind that they use more force against blacks than do they do whites.

* Let us be open to the larger picture as well as to other points of view and not distort facts for our own ideological ends or to justify violence.

* Let us asked to simply be listened to and not demand that others agree with our point of view or insist they we have "The Truth."

* Let us not demonize others.  Let us not, in the name of justice, do unto others what we would not want done to ourselves, family, friends, or community.

In  Seattle alone, the African-American men who killed Kristopher Kime, Danny Vega, James Paroline, and Tuba Man were all unarmed (unless you count fists and feet as weapons).*

* these killings occurred in the decade or so

The two men who killed Dien Huynh in Tacoma had hammers.

Zemir Begic was also beaten to death with a hammer by a group of young black men in November 2014, a week after the Ferguson protests began, in St. Louis.

Funny how people can have such selective memories.  They choose to remember what they want to remember, and forget about those things they don't want to remember.
