Majority report: One minority is overrepresented in the Top 10 List of admired Americans

Those liberals who argue vehemently that  America is still oh-so racist might have a harder time explaining why out of a recent poll out of the ten most admired Americans, three are African-American, with Colin Powell* in the #1 spot and Michelle Obama and Maya Angelou in the top ten, ahead of Hillary Clinton.

(What about a little breathing room for a Hispanic-, Asian-, or Native-American)?   Tolerance for other voices?

Considering that blacks represent 12% of the U.S. population, that is astonishing, but perhaps no more than Iowa--98% white--during the 2008 Democratic presidential primary choosing Obama over rivals Hillary Clinton and John Edwards.

* Even after his embarrassing talk at the U.N. in 2003 where he told the entire world categorically that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction, thus paving the way for the U.S. invasion of the country.
